The Van Zandt County Historical Commission collects historical photographs or drawings of people and places in the County. If you have old pictures you would like to preserve for history (and, with your permission, to share with the public), please let us know! We can provide a home for old images that perhaps have been sitting in a box in your closet.
In particular, the Historical Commission is now looking for a photograph or drawing of Frederick (or Fredrick) Ezell, who designed the Van Zandt County Courthouse that was built on the square in Canton in 1859.
